Meet Chef Dale

With more than 16 years of experience and five years spent as a beverage director, Dale has built his career around curiosity, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for ingredients. His culinary influences span the globe, from Mexican and Korean to French, Italian, and Japanese cuisine, but his philosophy remains grounded close to home.

At Savor, Dale is creating an experience that celebrates Iowa's seasons through thoughtfully crafted, scratch-made dishes. Every menu is built around what is freshest and most flavorful, evolving throughout the year as local farms and producers shape what's possible.

His favorite ingredient? Garlic. His favorite bite? A perfectly balanced spicy tuna crispy rice. But what excites him most is proving that elevated dining doesn't require a trip to a major city.

Meet Pastry Chef Becca

With nearly a decade in professional kitchens, Pastry Chef Becca Slates has worked her way from dishwasher to pastry chef, building her craft through production baking, laminated pastries, and countless hours perfecting the art of dessert. While she loves creating everything from delicate pastries to cream puffs, cakes remain her signature.

Her philosophy is simple: a beautiful dessert should taste just as incredible as it looks.

Inspired by seasonal ingredients, especially raspberries, apricots, and other stone fruits, Becca creates desserts that celebrate the best of each season. At Savor, she's excited to continue growing alongside Deja and bring thoughtful, ever-changing desserts to every menu.

Whether it's a weekly signature cake or a perfectly baked pastry, Becca believes every dessert tells a story and every bake is a chance to learn something new. One day, she hopes to create the ultimate four-tier Lambeth-style wedding cake.
